With my love for dance and fitness, I have incorporated both exciting worlds into one!
I have found throughout all my years of dance and teaching experience that many
dancers lack strength in the upper body. Many students require much improvement in their upper body and core strength to perform more complex dance movements with better ease.
Time-wise, it can be hard for dance teachers to include extra exercises into their class format, when they have exams, competitions and shows/recitals to get ready for. In addition, not many students take the extra time outside of the studio to engage in strength training and exercises to help build strength in this area. It is also important to focus on lower body strengthening exercises to aid in the push off and landing of jumps and many other dance
movements.
Dancers are athletes! And as such, their bodies must be tuned as strong and healthy instruments!
My classes are well rounded and contain many of the components needed for a healthy and strong dancer!
- Cardio and Agility training for endurance and mind-body connection
- Strength training for the upper and lower body
- Core strengthening and conditioning
- Flexibility and stretching to provide relief to those working muscles
- Balance and coordination
- Musicality – as all classes are choreographed to music!
Challenging and fun classes for your senior students will help them be the best they can be for that next exam,
